SOLVENTUM's Sof-Lex strips come as thin polyester strips, coated on one side with an aluminum oxide/zirconium silicate abrasive, designed to refine and polish the proximal surfaces of composite restorations while protecting adjacent teeth thanks to their flexibility and a non-abrasive contact area. Three grit references are grouped under this listing: the 1954, coarse/medium grit in standard width, for removing excess material and initial shaping of the contact point; the 1954N, same grit but in a narrow version, for tighter interdental spaces; and the 1956, fine/superfine grit, for final polishing and achieving a shine close to natural enamel. Used in this sequence, these three grits recreate a smooth, well-integrated interproximal anatomy suited to all types of restorative materials.
