UnoDent PGLA is a high-quality sterile resorbable surgical suture, made of braided and coated polyglactin 910, a synthetic multifilament made from 90% glycolide and 10% L-lactide. Violet-dyed, with a reverse cutting needle.
Unlike the PGLA Rapide version (undyed, 12-14 day resorption, reserved for superficial tissue such as oral mucosa), this standard version offers longer wound support with resorption in 28-30 days, suited to tissue requiring longer support before resorption. The violet dye makes the thread easier to spot during surgery and post-operative follow-up.
Available in several USP gauges (3/0, 4/0, 5/0, 6/0), 45cm thread, with reverse cutting needle (3/8 or 1/2 circle depending on gauge), box of 12.
