The PerfectMargin PM1 tip from ACTEON opens the cervical margin preparation sequence, following the initial rotary phase. Diamond-coated (76 µm, the coarsest grit in the PM range), with a rounded edge, it penetrates the gingival sulcus to establish the intrasulcular margin while respecting the marginal gingiva and biological space, essential for periodontal health and impression accuracy.
It forms the first step of a three-stage progression: the PM2 then refines this margin with a finer grit (46 µm), before the PM3, a smooth version, provides final polishing. The PM1 also differs from the PM4, a conical tip dedicated to corono-radicular post preparation. Used with an ACTEON-compatible ultrasonic generator.
