The Automatrix Intro Kit is a circumferential dental metal matrix system without a separate retainer: the metal band's own tension alone holds and retains the restorative material, with no need for a separate ring or matrix holder. It includes 96 stainless steel matrices assorted across 4 sizes (24 bands per size): - Standard Large: 7.94mm height, 0.05mm thickness - Standard Narrow: 4.76mm height, 0.05mm thickness - Fine Medium: 6.35mm height, 0.038mm thickness - Standard Medium: 6.35mm height, 0.05mm thickness This range of sizes covers all tooth circumferences, suited to premolars and molars, including those with significant crown height. The kit also includes a Dual Torque applicator allowing precise tension control without excess, and a protective cutting plier for safely removing the band after restoration. This system facilitates direct application of restorative materials in posterior cavities involving proximal surfaces (Class II preparations), with better adaptation of the material in interproximal and subgingival areas, and improved operative visibility thanks to the absence of a bulky matrix holder. Single-use matrices, disposable after each restoration; applicator and plier reusable after sterilisation.
