Designed for Piezosurgery, this OT1 tip from Mectron is used to prepare the bony window in the sinus, with a micrometric osteotomy cutting mode (around 1mm) that allows the osteotomy to be finished right next to sensitive soft tissue: the sinus membrane, blood vessels or the alveolar nerve.
Its diamond coating has a grit size of 91 μm, over a titanium nitride coating.
Thanks to the cutting selectivity of Piezosurgery ultrasonics, this type of tip cuts mineralised tissue while preserving the surrounding soft tissue.
