The TK2-1L from ACTEON also belongs to the BDR (Biofilm Disruption and Removal) range, but differs clearly from the TK1 series (straight tip, anterior sectors), through its angled shape, specifically designed for access to premolar and molar sectors. Its left orientation facilitates work in furcation areas and medium-to-deep periodontal pockets, which are harder to reach with a straight tip.
Like the entire BDR range, it works through low-power ultrasonic micro-cavitation, disrupting subgingival biofilm while preserving soft tissue. It forms a left/right pair with the TK2-1R, allowing full coverage of posterior sectors regardless of the working side. Used with an ACTEON-compatible ultrasonic generator, alongside manual scaling.
