The SEPTALINE Lindemann Surgical Bur is a tungsten carbide bur with a long, narrow head featuring a fine cross-cut pattern running along its full length (side-cutting, not just at the tip). It is specifically designed for bone surgery: osteotomy and bone recontouring, apicoectomy (root-end resection), tooth or root sectioning during extraction of impacted teeth, crown lengthening, or implant site preparation. Its low-aggressivity side-cutting action allows controlled, progressive removal of bone or dentin while limiting heat buildup in bone tissue (necrosis risk) and reducing the risk of catching soft tissue, unlike more aggressive fissure burs. Its slim, elongated shape also eases access to confined surgical sites (between roots, narrow osteotomy windows) with good visual control. Manufacturer reference LINDEMAN161, ISO 016, 9mm head.
