The S12-70D tip from ACTEON is a diamond-coated retro-tip with a "back action" design, specifically built for endodontic apical surgery. Unlike front-cutting tips, its distinctive geometry allows it to cut on the pull/back stroke, facilitating access to and shaping of the retrograde cavity at the level of the resected apex.
This configuration gives the practitioner better visual and mechanical control when preparing the retrograde cavity, in areas where access angulation makes a conventional tip more difficult to use. Used with an ACTEON-compatible ultrasonic generator, as part of endodontic surgery protocols.
