This OT11 tip from Mectron, designed for Piezosurgery, acts as a piezoelectric osteotome in bone grafting procedures: it is notably used for removing the basal sinus cortex, a key step in sinus floor augmentation.
It combines both micrometric osteotomy and osteoplasty functions in a single tip, with a titanium nitride coating.
Like any Piezosurgery tip, it retains the cutting selectivity typical of ultrasonics, limiting risk to the surrounding soft tissue.
