During retrograde endodontic surgery (apical resection), the practitioner needs to clean and prepare the cavity left at the root tip after resection: this is the role of the EN5L tip, designed for apical root debridement with Mectron Piezosurgery handpieces. Its left-angled shape makes it easier to reach this retro-apical area, which is often hard to access with a straight instrument. The active tip, 2.2 mm in diameter, ensures precise canal cleaning without damaging the surrounding tissue. Like the rest of the Piezosurgery range, the EN5L features a titanium nitride coating with a 30 µm diamond grit, for controlled abrasion. It is used with Mectron's retro surgical kit and, like the brand's other surgical tips, it is reusable after sterilisation.
