The PerfectMargin PM2 tip from ACTEON comes in as the second step of the cervical margin preparation sequence. Diamond-coated with a fine grit (46 µm), and a rounded edge, it refines the intrasulcular margin established by the PM1 (first step, coarser 76 µm grit), smoothing out irregularities while respecting the gingival sulcus and marginal gingiva.
It precedes the PM3, a smooth version dedicated to final polishing before impression-taking, and differs from the PM4, a conical tip reserved for corono-radicular post preparation. This PM1 → PM2 → PM3 progression ensures a clean, precise cervical margin, perfectly suited to the prosthetic restoration. Used with an ACTEON-compatible ultrasonic generator.
