The SO4 tip from ACTEON is a fine condenser, smooth and non-diamond, approximately 40 mm in length with a 4% taper. It is designed for gutta-percha condensation, relying on the heating effect generated by ultrasonic vibrations to soften and compact the filling material.
It is used dry, without irrigation, to preserve the heating effect necessary for softening the gutta-percha. It comes into play both during initial canal obturation, through lateral or vertical condensation, and in endodontic retreatment protocols. Used with an ACTEON-compatible ultrasonic generator.
