The PerfectMargin PM3 tip from ACTEON completes the cervical margin preparation sequence as the smooth (non-diamond) rounded-edge version. Unlike the PM1 and PM2, which are diamond-coated and used to establish then refine the intrasulcular margin, the PM3 comes in as the final step, purely dedicated to polishing: it removes micro-roughness left by the diamond preparation, without further material removal, achieving a perfectly smooth surface before impression-taking.
It also differs from the PM4, a diamond-coated conical tip reserved for corono-radicular post preparation rather than coronal margin polishing. Used with an ACTEON-compatible ultrasonic generator, as part of prosthetic preparation protocols.
